Exams Information

📝 Key Exam Information

Expectations
All exams follow national regulations to ensure fairness. Students must arrive on time, follow instructions and not bring unauthorised items. Failure to follow rules may result in penalties.

Fairness and Integrity
We ensure exams are fair for all students. Any form of cheating, plagiarism, misuse of AI or unauthorised materials will be reported and may affect results.

Support for Students
Some students may receive support (such as extra time or use of a laptop). These arrangements are approved in advance and reflect normal classroom practice.

Coursework and Assessments
Some subjects include coursework or non-exam assessments. Students must complete their own work, follow guidance on sources, and all work is checked before submission.

📊 Results, Appeals and Absence

Results and Reviews
After results are released, staff are available to support students. Reviews of marking can be requested through the school within strict deadlines.

Appeals
There is a formal process for appealing decisions relating to assessments, results or exam arrangements.

Absence from Exams
If a student misses an exam due to exceptional circumstances, the school will seek advice from the exam board and may apply for special consideration. Evidence may be required.

🚨 Disruption, Safety and Security

Disruption and Emergencies
If an exam is interrupted (e.g. fire alarm), students will be supervised and the exam will restart where possible. In wider disruption, exams may be moved or rescheduled and families will be informed.

Security
Student identity is checked before and during exams, and systems are in place to protect exam materials and student data.
